Shower Installation in North Brunswick

Licensed Plumbers for New Showers, Replacements & Fixture Upgrades

When a shower installation goes wrong, the problems don’t stay visible. Water migrates behind walls, saturates subfloors, and creates mold long before a homeowner notices anything. At Alexander Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, we’ve handled residential and commercial plumbing across Central New Jersey, including North Brunswick, NJ, since 1996. Our licensed, bonded, and certified team brings the technical grounding that shower work demands: proper rough-in connections, code-compliant drain placement, and valve work that holds up over time.

We’re a family-owned and operated business, bilingual in English and Spanish, and certified as a green contractor. Every shower project we take on is handled with the same accountability we’d bring to our own homes.

Ready to schedule shower installation in North Brunswick? Call us at (609) 772-4204 or submit a request online and we can get back to you promptly.

Shower Installation Services We Provide in North Brunswick

We handle the full range of shower work, from ground-up installations to targeted repairs. Whether you’re converting a tub space into a walk-in shower or replacing a failing prefab stall, we have the crew and the experience to handle the work properly.

New Shower Installation

New installations begin with rough-in plumbing: setting the drain, running supply lines, and installing the valve body inside the wall before any surfaces close. We then set the shower pan or base, install the enclosure, and connect all fixtures before testing the full system.

Shower Replacement

When an existing unit has reached the end of its life, we remove it completely and install a new prefab stall or custom enclosure with updated plumbing connections, helping reduce the chance of legacy problems carrying forward.

Tub-to-Shower Conversion

A tub-to-shower conversion requires more than cosmetic work. We cap or relocate the tub drain, reposition supply lines, and install a new shower valve and drain configured for the new layout.

Fixture & Valve Upgrades

Not every project needs full demolition. When the underlying plumbing is sound, we replace shower valves, showerheads, hand showers, and body sprays in a single visit.

Shower Drain Installation & Repair

Standing water, slow drainage, and recurring clogs often point to drain seal failures or improper drain placement. We address the source directly rather than applying temporary fixes.

When to Call a Plumber for Your Shower

Some warning signs are easy to dismiss until the damage is already done. Persistent leaks, mold or mildew around the grout or enclosure, low water pressure that won’t resolve, cracked shower pans, and valves that no longer regulate temperature reliably all signal that the shower needs professional attention.

For new installations and tub-to-shower conversions in North Brunswick Township, a construction permit with a Plumbing Subcode form is generally required when work adds or relocates piping. Shower valve replacement with minor piping modification is specifically exempt under the township’s ordinary maintenance provisions. Requirements can change, so we recommend confirming current requirements with the township or a licensed plumber before work begins. When a permit is required, we handle the filing and coordinate the municipal inspection as part of the job. You don’t need to manage that process yourself.
